C.Fix
C.Fix is general purpose Cytology Fixative with characteristics similar to Cytorich Red. A methanol based fixative, it is great fixative for a wide range of cytology samples including brushings, washings, pleural fluids and FNAs. It does lyse RBCs efficiently and keeps the resulting proteins from coagulating. Since it has minimal amounts of Formalin, IHC and Genetic testing characteristics are not exactly like an alcohol based fixative

G.fix
G.Fix is general purpose Cytology Fixative with characteristics similar to PreserCyt. A methanol based fixative, it is a great choice for brushings. It contains no formalin and hence IHC and Genetic testing characteristics are very similar to an alcohol based non-cross linking fixative.

Q.Wash
Q.Wash is used to enhance cellular presentation by reducing red blood cells, mucous and other background materials. As part of the QuickPrep system, this solution is added to specimens with excess amount of non diagnostic materials, reducing debris that makes it onto a slide.

C.drop
C.Drop is formulated to allow cells to spread in a thin layer on appropriately coated glass slides. Cells should be suspended in C.Drop at an optimum density to form a monolayer for the size of cell presentation desired. The drop can be manually moved around to create a larger, thinner layer of cells. Dropper bottle,

Coated 18mm Circle, Optimized for C.drop
QuickPrep Coated 18mm circle slides are specifically designed for use with the C.Drop suspension solution. Specially formulated coating creates ideal spreading of cell matrix while securely affixing the specimen the slide and limiting background staining.

Control Slides
General purpose control for Fluorescent in Situ Hybridization procedures. Cell line control that provide consistency of staining for reagents and lot controls, testing procedures and daily test runs. ChromCheck consists of positively charged glass microscope slide with two circles containing two cell lines.
This product can be used as a control for cells fixed in alcoholic fixative and processed for Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization.

Grills
Gills Hematoxylins for nuclear staining of the highest precision and clarity. SSN offers the histologist and cytologist a choice of Gills 1, 2 or 3 half-oxidized Hematoxylins. Each of these can be used with progressive or regressive techniques. All of our hematoxylin formulations produce rapid and distinctive nuclear staining and all have been aged to their peak of staining prior to shipping. These Gills Hematoxylins produce precise nuclear staining showing crisp nuclear membranes and nucleoplasm, exact staining of nucleoli, and minimum staining of cytoplasm and mucin.

OG-6
OG-6 is an alcohol based counterstain that stains keratin and other cell components suggestive of squamous cellular differentiation.

EA-50, EA-65
EA-50 , and EA-65 are alcoholic based counterstains used primarily in cytology laboratories. These are alcoholic based stains prepared from standard formulations to be used for routine staining of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.

EA/OG stains
EA-OG™ Counterstain is prepared to produce the ultimate translucent counterstain for cytoplasm of FNA and cytology specimens. The proper amounts of light and fast greens are included to stain a pleasant green-blue. Bismark Brown-Y is also included according to the specifications of Dr. Papanicolaou. A specific amount of Eosin-Y is added to provide an ideal balance of eosinophilic staining. Orange-G is added to identify keratinization within cells showing squamous origin with keratinization. Glacial acetic acid is present in adequate amounts to ensure precise counterstaining. This is the ideal counterstain for rapid professional assessment of FNA specimens. It can also be used for routine
staining of cytology specimens if a one step is desired.
